I’ve had this happen to me, and it’s disappointing! You get excited about a book, imagining all the adventures you’re going to have, but sometimes you wish you’d known a little more before you started reading.

That’s one of the reasons we created Story Scout!

Our reviews tell you what a book is really like, not just what it says on the cover! We explain what the story is about, what we liked, what we didn’t like and whether we’d recommend it to other readers.

We’ll also try to mention things that parents and readers might want to know about, such as scary scenes, violence, bad language or other content that some people might find uncomfortable.

We want our reviews to help you decide whether a book sounds right for you before you spend your time reading it. But remember, our reviews are based on our own experiences, so we might not notice everything, and other readers might feel differently.

We can’t promise that every book will be exactly what you expect, but we’ll always do our best to share our honest opinions and help you make an informed choice.
